Podcast 99 – January (2 of 4) 2019 – Lost Games – Warcraft Adventures
To release a game, or to not release a game? That is the question. Well, certainly for Blizzard back in the mid-nineties. Their foray into the adventure genre didn’t exactly go to plan. The idea, to expand more on the Warcraft universe, was a good one. The game’s formulation was not. Adrian is here to tell Rob and Dylan all about this fascinating story that transcended the globe. What do you mean Russia and Korea can’t work together???

Hi Adrian,
Just wanted to point out that you mixed up a bit the titles and chronology of Curse of Monkey Island and Escape from Monkey Island. The first was released in 1997 and is very much in the same graphical style as Warcraft Adventures, the latter was released in late 2000 and is in 3D, just as Grim Fandango in 1998
Really nice listen, I will definitely check it out. Not ever having seen any of warcraft games in action before but being a serious point & click adventure game fan, this is going to be interesting.
Thanks for pointing this out Sushi, I’ll show this to Adrian. Thanks for listening and yes definitely give the game a play! Dylan
